Mountain Bike Rides

Both new and advanced riders will find an experience appropriate to their abilities since we typically separate into two different groups (“Casual” and “Race”). The “Casual” group tends to be a more welcoming social off-road experience while the “Race” group typically consists of racers and experienced aggressive riders. The two groups usually reconnect once or twice during the evening to give riders the opportunity to switch groups. We often ride as long as daylight allows, and riders are encouraged to bring money and a change of clothes for post-ride refreshments.

The ride leaves from the pool parking lot in Rockport Park on Janesville’s west side at 6:30pm every Thursday when trail conditions are appropriate (except the first Thursday of the month). On the first Thursday of each month, we make an attempt to go out of town to one of the great local trails, such as Kettle Moraine (near Whitewater) and CamRock (near Cambridge).
